For all the cycles of life.
My goal is to help my clients keep moving through a combination of exercise prescription and manual therapy. I work with a broad spectrum of people from endurance athletes to women in their childbearing year. While my clients’ activities vary widely, the common thread is that all people need to move. Some need to recover from an injury or time of decreased function. Others need to maintain or even increase their level of activity. Whatever your needs, we can meet for a bodywork session or design a custom exercise program to get you back to whatever it is you love to do in your life.
In 1997, I began my work at the Institute of Natural Healing Sciences in Colleyville, Texas where I studied several modalities of massage therapy, including sports massage and pregnancy massage. I went on to see clients in the clinic and teach a basic massage course there. I received my National Certification for therapeutic massage and bodywork in 2006. Over time, I learned that what was missing from my sessions was movement. By design, if muscles are going to change, they need to move. I received certification for exercise coaching from the CHEK Institute in 2008 and completed the personal trainer course at The Cooper Institute in 2011. I graduated from the University of Texas in Arlington with a B.S. in Exercise Science in 2014. I am currently completing prerequisites for UTA's nursing program.
Ashiatsu means foot pressure. This deeply relaxing massage uses the weight of the therapists body delivered through her feet. We'll do whatever it takes to keep your body in check, even if it means I have to walk on your back! This work is not only thoroughly relaxing; it also relieves chronic deep tissue damage. I am certified in Ashiatsu barefoot massage and Ashi-Thai.
